Opera & Flamenco

A spectacle-revelation of the last years in the sensual world of the flamenco dance, Opera y Flamenco is a real “cult” event for the passionate of music and dance. The show presents an extraordinary “fusion” of the lyrical songs, the tradition of the Zarzuela and the charm of gipsy dances.

In non-stop planning since 2004 at the prestigious Poliorama Theater at the Rambla and at Palau de La Musica Catalana, it’s the most seen flamenco show in Barcelona.

In a timeless Spain, a stormy love story between two dancers is told by their souls (the soprano and the tenor).

Sensual choreographies alternate with the most famous pieces by authors as De Falla with the spell of “Amor Brujo”, Lara and Sorozabal in a particular mixture between gipsy music, flamenco and the greatest lyric (Bizet with his fascinating “Carmen” or Verdi with the tragedy of “Il Trovatore”).

The show has been seen by more than 300.000 spectators in Spain, performed at the Auditorium of Rome and at the Pavarotti Theatre of Modena with great success of public and critic. In the season 2009-2010 the spectacle will be scheduled in Barcelona and in Europe main theatres.
