Our 1st intercambio of the week (we also have intercambios Wednesdays and Thrursdays in the Born). Note we're still deciding on a venue for Wednesdays. Ignore the official RSVPs. Remember that this group merges with the English Oasis Cafe group (formed before Meet up existed in Barcelona) so their attendance is not reflected in the RSVP count. Regulars rarely RSVP as they know where we meet. We meet in la Cigale from 8pm to 10pm, a great bar with a bohemian feel. We meet and greet you as you enter and give, check your language level and give you a name tag We form groups of about 6 people mixing English and Spanish speakers There's an optional "language bell" on each table to ensure a fair share of Spanish and English is spoken at each table. Each table sets their own timer. I have optional ice-breakers on table to get people talking but it's always fun I go around the groups, checking the dynamics of the groups. After the first hour or so, everyone is encouraged to move around to meet, mix and mingle everyone else! ...oh! and we coincide during HAPPY HOUR so if you like cocktails it's two for 8 euro...although of course you can order any drink you wish?although long list of cocktails, including Mojitos might tempt you. Their home-made Brownies are amongst the best in Barcelona! As always, 2 euro for first timers and if you like it, as most people, it's 4euro from then on? NOTE: - 1st timers: 2€ (to see if you like it) - regulars: 4€ - introduce a friend : 2€ (if you introduce a friend to our intercambios then you and your friend only pay 2€ each)
